WAVERLY, N.Y. — A Waverly business owner is asking the community for support to help bring a large-scale patriotic mural to life.

Becky’s Diner is working with an artist from Stilletos Fine Arts Studio to create a mural on the side of its building. The project was initially planned as a smaller design, but the owner hopes to expand it to cover the entire wall.

The larger vision comes with increased costs for materials, equipment, and labor, which the business says it cannot fully cover on its own.

The proposed mural would be visible to both local traffic and drivers passing through the area, creating a new visual landmark celebrating patriotism and community pride.

The artist involved has completed similar mural projects in other locations, and organizers say the finished piece would add to the growing number of public art installations in the Valley.

The diner is now reaching out to local businesses and community members to gauge interest in donations or fundraising efforts to help complete the project.
