Nick Libous has suspended his campaign for the 123rd New York Assembly District seat.
Libous made the announcement on Monday and endorsed Dan Norton in the race for the Democratic nomination.
Norton is seeking to replace longtime Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, who has represented the district since 2004.
Lupardo, who announced her retirement in January, has also endorsed Norton.
Republican Lynn Parker is also running for the seat.
The 123rd district covers Binghamton, Vestal, Johnson City, Union and Endicott.
The primary election is set for June 23.
