The Village of Candor has issued a boil water advisory for at least the next two days.
Village crews found that water showed inadequate disinfection for drinking, resulting on the advisory on Wednesday.
Disinfection is used to destroy harmful microbes that may be present in drinking water.
Residents are asked to bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute and let it cool before using.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and preparing food until further notice.
