The Sayre Police Department recently honored an employee at the Hamton Inn for saving the life of a young boy.
According to the Morning Times, first responders were called to the Hampton Inn on May 8 for a report of a juvenile male feared to have drowned in the pool.
When EMS and police arrived, the boy was fine thanks to the quick actions of Cassandra Zipperi, an employee at the Hampton Inn.
The boy was swimming with his parents and brother when he struck his head while diving into the pool and became unconscious.
Zipperi rushed into action and began CPR on the victim. She was able to resuscitate the boy before paramedics arrived.
The victim was transported to the Robert Packer Hospital and has made a full recovery.
