The Village of Horseheads is looking to pass a law that would ban the use of motorized mobile devices in village parks.

The proposed law would ban devices including dirt bikes, scooters, motorized bikes and skateboards.

The ban would extend to parks, trails, playgrounds, athletic fields and other recreational areas in the village.

If someone gets caught using a motorized mobile device, they could be fined up to $500.

A press conference is set for 5 pm on Thursday, Aug. 20th at 202 South Main Street in Horseheads to discuss the proposed law.
