Dave Radigan

Dave Radigan is the owner of Radigan Media and a longtime local broadcaster who still believes radio is at its best when it feels like it belongs to the community it serves.

Dave’s career in broadcasting has put him behind the microphone, behind the scenes, and eventually in the owner’s chair. Today, Radigan Media operates a group of local radio stations serving communities throughout the Twin Tiers of New York and Pennsylvania, along with MyHometownToday.com and the My Hometown Today app.

But owning radio stations hasn’t convinced Dave to stay out of the studio.

He can still regularly be heard on the air, including weekday mornings on Choice FM and WEBO, talking about what’s happening around the Twin Tiers, playing the music he grew up with, and occasionally proving that giving the owner a microphone is not always a good idea.

For Dave, local radio is about much more than what comes out of the speakers. It means covering local news, putting high school sports on the air, helping local businesses grow, supporting community organizations and events, and being there when something important happens close to home.

That philosophy is at the heart of Radigan Media: local people making local radio for the communities where they live and work.

Dave lives in the Twin Tiers with his wife, Irene, and their children. When he’s not at a radio station—which admittedly narrows the possibilities considerably—he enjoys spending time with his family.

After all these years, Dave remains fascinated by radio for the same reason that drew him to it in the first place: the ability to connect with an entire community.

And if there happens to be a great '80s song playing while that happens, even better.
