Steven Berkley Hansrote, 66, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, passed away on September 21, 2026.
Steven was born on March 2, 1960, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, to Clement and Doris Hansrote.
Steven built his career in the intermodal industry. He had a deep love for the outdoors and he was never happier than when he was out in nature. He was a devoted sports fan who enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams. Those who knew him well knew of his love for classic 80's action movies, and he could always be counted on to have one queued up. He also had a soft spot for kid-friendly foods and never quite outgrew the simple joys in life.
Steven is survived by his loving children, Matthew (Ashley) Hansrote and Nicholas (Brittany) Hansrote; his five grandchildren, Dilynn, Bree, Berkeley, Graham, and Blake; and his siblings, Travis, Tina, Barb, and Mary.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clement Hansrote; his mother, Doris Hansrote; and his brother, Marvin "Todd" Hansrote.
Steven will be remembered for his easygoing nature, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family.
Per his wishes, Steven will be cremated, and his ashes will be scattered in the places he loved most.
