Francis Robinson, 93, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. Francis grew up in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, where he met his wife, Mary Lou. They shared 51 years of marriage before her passing.
Fran is survived by his four children: Tim Robinson (Judy) of Portland, Maine; Kim Majikes (John) of Apex, North Carolina; Wendy Dailey (Pat) of Orion, Michigan; and Joe Robinson (Kim) of Johnson City, New York. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Betty, along with many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from high school, Fran served in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he earned a degree in Education from the University of Scranton and began a career dedicated to helping young people.
Fran spent most of his career with Maine-Endwell Schools, where he first served as a history teacher and later as a guidance counselor. He was deeply committed to his students and found fulfillment in helping young people navigate their education and plan for their futures.
After retiring from Maine-Endwell, Fran accepted temporary guidance counseling assignments at American Schools overseas, spending two years in Singapore followed by two years in Luxembourg. His willingness to embrace new experiences allowed him to continue helping students while also enjoying the opportunity to live and experience different parts of the world.
Fran will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor and his love of family. His family will carry his memory, as well as the many lessons and experiences he shared with them, for years to come.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 25th at 11:00 AM at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street. Endwell, NY. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Entombment will immediately follow in Riverhurst Cemetery will full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Mercy House in Fran's memory.
