The Pennsylvania Senate has approved legislation that would restrict the manufacture, sale, distribution and use of firefighting foam containing PFAS chemicals beginning in 2027. Senator Gene Yaw says grant money could help fire companies dispose of older foam. The measure includes exemptions for certain airport and industrial uses and now goes to the House.
