Endicott Waste Treatment Plant Receives Grant

The Endicott Wastewater Treatment Plant has received a$1.2 million grant from FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The funds are to be used to reduce flooding risk and to make improvements to the exterior of seven buildings. Senator Charles Schumer and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand  announced the award on Wednesday.

No Injuries in Campville Crash

There were no injuries when a car went off the road in Campville and started on fire. The accident occurred Wednesday around 8AM on North Cafferty Hill Road. There were three occupants. The car left the road for an unknown reason and hit a tree.

A pedestrian was struck by a car at Oakdale Mall Tuesday afternoon. The extent of the pedestrian’s injuries has not been disclosed. The accident happened near the mall entrance at about 3:15PM.

JC Police Place Donated SUV into K-9 Service

The Johnson City Police Department has placed a new SUV in service. Funds for the vehicle were provided by a $15,000 donation from the Johnson City Walmart and from an anonymous source. The vehicle has been outfitted for K-9 service.
