Heavy Rains Cause Sewage Discharge into Chemung River
Tuesday’s rain caused a release of untreated sewage into the Chemung River near Elmira. 1.2 million gallons of raw sewage entered the river at three locations along Water Street.

Teen Has Died Following Swimming Pond Accident

Kimani Meadows Found Guilty of Murder
Jurors in Elmira have found Kimani Meadows guilty in the murder of Robyn Roper in 2016. Meadows was also found guilty on three weapons charges. Meadows is currently serving 20 years in prison on an unrelated charge.
