Teen Has Died Following Swimming Pond Accident

A Horseheads teen has died from injuries suffered on Memorial Day, when he was swimming in a pond and went underwater. 16-year-old Michael Parker was brought to the surface by emergency workers from a pond on East Franklin Street, near Route 13. Michael passed away Wednesday morning.

Kimani Meadows Found Guilty of Murder

Jurors in Elmira have found Kimani Meadows guilty in the murder of Robyn Roper in 2016. Meadows was also found guilty on three weapons charges. Meadows is currently serving 20 years in prison on an unrelated charge.
