State of Emergency Lifted in Tioga County

The State of Emergency in Tioga County, New York was lifted yesterday at 5PM. The State of Emergency was put into effect a week ago, following the heavy rains and flash flooding experienced in the region.

Church Sustains Major Damage In Apalachin

The Faith Christian Church in Apalachin was heavily damaged by flood waters. A nearby creek flooded the church on Beach Road, breaking down one of the doors and inundating the interior. Early estimates are that there was $30,000 to $45,000 in damage.

Hickories Park is Closed Due to Flooding

The Town of Owego has closed the north side of Hickories Park including the Dog Park effective August 14, 2018 at 11:00am due to high water conditions.  This closure will remain in effect until further notice.
