April the Giraffe is pregnant again. April resides at the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville. The birth of April’s calf Tajiri became an internet sensation, with 14 million people watching the ‘giraffe cam’. The new calf is expected this Spring.

Owego Power Failure Caused by Falling Tree

A wide-reaching power outage in Tioga County yesterday was caused by a large tree that fell on two power lines near an Owego substation. Power was restored by about 5PM. Initially, half the NYSEG customers in all of Tioga County were without power.

Lithium Battery Factory to Open in Endicott
