Southside Drive Project Rejected by Village Board

A proposed Southside Drive housing project in Owego has been rejected by the Village Board. The plan would have brought 20 duplex housing units to the property. A zoning change was required for the project to proceed. It was killed by a 6-1 vote.

Broome/Tioga Health Departments Receive $1.25 Million Grant

Later today, the Broome County Health Department and the Tioga County Health department will announce a $1,250,000 funding award from the New York State Department of Health’s Bureau of Cancer Prevention and Control Program. WEBO hopes to have additional information tomorrow.
