Sayre, Pa. –St. Patrick’s Day 1999, Tioga County resident Floyd “Vic” Hooker won $45 million in the New York State Lottery, which according to lottery officials at that time was one of the biggest prizes awarded in state history.
After his death in 2007, Floyd “Vic” Hooker designated a portion of his estate for the Floyd Hooker Youth Fund to assist the youth of Tioga County, N.Y. The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT) is currently seeking applications for grants awarded from this fund. The total 2022 grants amount available is $21,650 and the application process is open to governmental or non-profit organizations that support youth programs in Tioga County, N.Y.

Lockhart St., Sayre, Pa., 18840. The deadline for filing an application is 5:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2. The 2022 grant recipients must have completed their grant report before a new application.
