Binghamton Man Hits Vehicle Three Times, Flees the Scene, Faces Felonies

On Monday, October 20 at 8:45 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Carlos E. Vazquez, age 47 of Binghamton, for the felonies of Reckless Endangerment in the first degree and Criminal Contempt in the first degree.

On October 17, troopers were dispatched to a report of a hit and run involving two vehicles. An investigation revealed that Vazquez was operating a vehicle when he violated an order of protection and followed a victim  through various roads in Broome County. Vazquez used his vehicle to intentionally strike the other vehicle three times while on George F Highway in the Town of Union before fleeing the area.

Vazquez was located by a trooper and a member of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at a residence on Florence Street in Binghamton on October 20 and arrested. He was processed at SP Endwell and then transported to Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.
