Chemung County sheriff’s deputies caught up last week with two people who were wanted on arrest warrants issued by two different courts in the county.
Michelle Kay, 44, of Elmira, was arrested on March 5 on an outstanding Superior Court Warrant for Violation of Probation, a Felony. The arrest warrant was issued by Chemung County Court on that same date. Kay is being held in Chemung County jail and will appear in Chemung County Court at a later date.
According to published reports, Kay is a past president of the Elmira-Corning Association of Realtors and a former member of the Corning Chamber of Commerce. According to authorities in Chemung County, Kay was seen driving without an ignition interlock device, which was a violation of her probation, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Scott D. Woodworth, 44, of Montour Falls, was arrested on March 5 on an outstanding Bench Warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a class A Misdemeanor. The warrant was issued by the Town of Big Flats Court on February 21. Woodworth was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Big Flats Court at a later date.
