‘Community Spread’ Causing Upward Trend in Tioga County’s COVID-19 Numbers

Tioga County Legislature Chairwoman Martha Sauerbrey reports ‘Community Spread’ in every town and village in Tioga County continues to cause increased confirmed cases and possible exposures to COVID-19 led by ongoing small social gatherings. Residents are encouraged to continue wearing masks, social distancing and stay home if you are not feeling well or have symptoms. Waverly remains in a “Yellow Zone,”

COVID-19 UPDATE  DECEMBER 15, 2020

Owego, NY – Tioga County Legislature Chairwoman Martha Sauerbrey reported the following Tioga County COVID-19 Statistics:

  •  1,406 Confirmed Cases  Total confirmed cases, to date.
  •  539 Individuals in Mandatory Quarantine – These are individuals who have had close contact with someone who has tested positive, but is not displaying symptoms for COVID-19; or individuals who traveled outside of New York State.
  •  1,151 Recovered  Total number of individuals who had a confirmed case of COVID-19 and are now symptom free that meet the criteria to be released from isolation.
  •  191 Active Cases
  •  64 Deaths
