Horseheads, N.Y. — Making new friends and experiencing new adventures is part of the summer camp experience, and the memories made can last a lifetime.

The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways Council in partnership with The Triangle Fund will give girls in grades kindergarten through fifth residing in Chemung, Steuben, and Schuyler counties, a free Community Day Camp experience August 9-11. The camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, at the Scout House in Hammondsport.

Residents of the tri-county area will need to qualify for the free camperships, by filling out a form (minus the income section) at gsnypenn.org/communitydaycamps. All attendees, if not already registered Girl Scouts, will need to register and pay for a Girl Scouts membership which is $25.00 for the year. This cost will also be covered by financial assistance using the form link above.

Those new to Girl Scouts or who live outside of Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben counties and want to attend the day camp, can call 1-800-943-4414 and choose option 2 to speak with GSNYPENN Customer Engagement.
