On Wednesday, April 7, members of the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division arrested Timothy J. Ceurter Jr, age 31 of Richford, on charges of:
- Burglary in the Third Degree,
- Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree,
- and Petit Larceny.
Ceurter was arraigned in CAP Court in front of Justice Les Swartz and was released on his own recognizance. He is to appear in the Town of Berkshire Court on 04/19/21 at 4:00 pm in front of Justice Dawn Olsen.
The arrest came after a five month investigation of burglaries of seasonal properties in the Hartwell Road area in Berkshire. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance following the Press Release published on 11/04/2020. Tips from the public provided the Sheriff’s Office with information on the case and helped lead to this arrest.
