Chemung, N.Y. – The Race of Champions will be the proud presenter of the “Night before the Glen”, Rod Spalding Classic 75 for the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series and the Tribute to Ed McGuire
51 for the Race of Champions Super Stock Series along with the Race of Champions Four Cylinder Dash Series at
the Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome on Saturday, August 7.

The Modified Series will compete in the Rod Spalding Classic honor of the late and great driver, whose injuries
spurred the development of the Spalding Foundation for Injured Drivers, headed by Betty Sherwood. Ryan Preece of Berlin, Connecticut, who competes in the NASCAR Cup Series will join the field in one of Eddie
and Connie Partridge’s cars. The Super Stock Series race is a special event with the third ever “Tribute to Ed McGuire”. McGuire’s career
spanned several seasons in the Late Model category at Shangri-La Speedway. The race will be a $1,000-to-win
Super Stock special.

The Spalding Foundation for Injured Drivers will also be recognized as part of the tradition of this night. There
will be a fundraising part of the night which will be announced later. The Spalding Foundation has played a role
in every “Rod Spalding Classic” at Chemung Speedrome.
The Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series returns to Chemung for a 25-lap event to round
