Last week, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Town of Cortlandville for a reported burglary in progress. When officers arrived, they discovered the suspect inside the unoccupied residence. 23-year-old Andrew Phillips of Cortland had forcibly entered the residence without permission. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and charged with felony Burglary. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail. Additional charges are possible.
