Athens man arrested on meth charges, sent to jail on $1 million bail

An Athens man is in jail on $1 million dollars bail for allegedly possessing and selling meth.

According to the Bradford County Drug Task Force, 42-year-old Chad Michael McLinko was originally charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance and sent to the Bradford County Jail on $350,000 bail.

The charges stem from McLinko allegedly selling meth to a confidential informant working with the task force and Pennsylvania State Police.

Police conducted a search warrant on McLinko’s Athens Borough home and allegedly found 113 grams of meth, 17 grams of illegal mushrooms, 7 digital scales, packaging materials and other drugs and drug paraphernalia.

McLinko now faces additional charges of two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, 18 misdemeanor drug-related counts and a misdemeanor count of possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, brass knuckles.

The additional charges were filed on Monday and his bail was increased to $1 million dollars.
