The Athens Township board of supervisors appointed a new member at a recent meeting.
Michael Freeland was appointed to fill the term left by the resignation of Cori Lasco in December.
Freeland will serve until January of 2026 and could serve through January of 2027 if he runs in this year’s election and wins.
