Blossburg man gets 8 to 20 years for sexually assaulting child

A Blossburg man will spend years in state prison for sexually assaulting a child.

According to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, 39-year-old Philip McCormick has been sentenced to a minimum of eight years to a maximum of 20 years on prison.

McCormick previously pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child less than 16 years old, unlawful contact with a minor and aggravated indecent assault.

He will also have to register as a sex offender for life as part of his sentence.
