The Bradford County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution last week calling on Gov. Josh Shapiro and state legislators to work together to finalize a budget.
The Pennsylvania House of Representatives passed a $50.6 billion budget in July, while the state Senate passed a $47.6 billion spending plan in August.
Last month, the county commissioners approved funding to help local food pantries during the state budget battle, but they said then that a prolonged budget stalemate could hurt the food pantries and other vital programs in the county.
The Pennsylvania State Senate will reconvene on Monday, Sept. 8, while the state house is scheduled to return on Monday, Sept. 22.
