Woman sentenced in $210K Canton business theft

A Roaring Branch woman was recently sentenced in Bradford County Court related to the theft of nearly $210,000 from a Canton business she had worked for. 

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Deanne Nicole Bowers was arrested on Jan. 22 following two years of thefts from Schoonover Plumbing and Heating through 1,700 credit card transactions. She was charged with felony theft by unlawful taking. 

She was sentenced to a minimum of five months and a maximum of 23 months and 29 days in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, along with 10 years of court supervision or probation. She also must pay nearly $263,000 in restitution.
