The community is rallying together to help the Roehrig family after the fatal fire in Herrick Township on Monday morning.
Ashley Roehrig and her daughter Avery were killed in the fire on Lent Road, and the house was completely destroyed.
Since the tragedy occurred, the Wyalusing community and people from throughout Bradford County have come together to help the surviving family members.
Several local businesses have drop boxes for donations, including the Ram Zone in Wyalusing, Lackawanna College and Anytime Fitness in Towanda, The Brunch Barn in Rome, Unwind Café and Market in Tunkhannock and the What Not Shop in Laceyville.
The family is looking for clothing, including men’s large and medium shirts, large and medium sweatpants, size 9 ½ and 11 men’s shoes, little girls size 5-6 clothes and 9 to 10 shoes. Gift cards would also be appreciated.
Wyalusing High School has announced that all concessions from Tuesday night’s wrestling match and Wednesday’s basketball games will be going to the family.
Elsewhere in the Northern Tier League, both Athens and Sayre have said all money brought in through tickets and concessions from their home basketball games would go to the Roehrig family.
A GoFundMe page has now reached over $100,000 donated as of Wednesday morning. To donate, click here.
