Motorists are advised that Route 220 is closed in both directions between South Main Street (Route 2027) and the Patterson Boulevard (Route 2036) in Towanda ramps for a downed utility just south of Patterson Boulevard.

A detour using South Main Street and Route 6 is in place. Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.

The downed utility lines caused a major power outage in Towanda Borough and the surrounging areas.
