Driver killed after hitting deer, tree in Wells Township

A Pennsylvania man was killed after his car hit a deer and then a tree in Wells Township on Wednesday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Terry Lyn Hackenberg died at a local hospital following the crash.

The accident occurred at around 1 p.m. on Wednesday on Roaring Run Road in Wells Township.

A witness told state troopers that they saw Hackenberg’s vehicle traveling on Roaring Run Road before it struck a deer. The car went airbone and hit a tree.

The victim was transported to Arnot Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
