Bradford County’s request for FEMA Assistance has been denied. Private property damaged by flooding over the summer is not eligible for repair or replacement money from FEMA. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency plans to initiate requests to the Small Business Administration to make low-interest Federal loans available for businesses and homeowners who suffered qualifying damage. SBA loans are commonly made available in situations where other funding streams are not available or have not been approved. Bradford County Emergency Management staff will provide information to the affected residents as soon as they receive it from the SBA.
