A home health nurse has been charged with abusing one of her patients in Wysox.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 43-year-old Hop Bottom resident Pamela J. Klecha has been charged with first degree misdemeanor strikes, shoves, kicks or attempts, threatens care-dependent person as well as summary harassment.
Klecha is accused of harassing the victim in a room within the Wysox home on Aug. 4, 2024. The victim was unable to speak or move independently due to a disability.
The suspect allegedly shoved an oxygen mask onto the victim’s face several times with force, and also placed a towel over the victim’s mouth for an extended time.
The victim’s father contacted authorities after he suspected abuse by Klecha. He installed a camera on her bed, and state troopers viewed the footage to verify the father’s statements.
A preliminary hearing is set for April 22nd.
