Man killed in Tioga County, Pa. fire

A man was killed in a fire in Tioga County, Pennsylvania last week.

According to WENY-TV, the fire started just after 11 pm on Thursday, Jan. 15 on Route 414 in Union Township.

The Canton Fire Department responded to the scene and found a house fully engulfed with one person trapped inside.

The victim was identified as 49-year-old James Driscoll of Roaring Branch.

Members of the Pennsylvania State Police fire and Exploision Investigation Unit responded to the scene.

Due to the extent of the damage, the origin and cause of the fire could not be determined, but Driscoll’s death was ruled accidental.
