A Pennsylvania man will spend time in state prison after he assaulted a woman and a state trooper last year.
According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 37-year-old Joseph Caporusso was sentenced to a minimum of 15 months to a maximum of 10 years for aggravated assault, burglary and simple assault.
Caporusso showed up at a woman’s house in Asylum Township in December of 2024 and pretended to be lost. He then strangled the woman until she was unconscious.
He would later crash his car when he fled the scene and was arrested following a short foot pursuit.
Caporusso later kicked a state trooper during processing at the barracks in Towanda.
