It will be a busy weekend in Sayre as two major events are set to take place.
The first will be the final Downtown Sayre Summer Splash Party of 2025 on Friday night.
The block party will be held on South Elmer Ave. from the Elks parking lot to Lockhart Street starting at 5 pm.
Joe Lopreste will perform at 5:30 p.m. on the outdoor patio at Celebration’s Black Diamond Café before Avalanche, the US Army Band 10th Mountain Division will take the stage in the Guthrie parking lot at 6:30 p.m.
There will also be food trucks and local restaurants will have specials during the event.
On Saturday, the 12th annual Sayre Borough End of Summer Celebration will take place at Riverfront Park.
There will be food vendors, back to school giveaways, kids activities and live music from Jeremy James, Mike Cavalier and Doc Cavallaro starting at 4 p.m.
The event will wrap up with the largest fireworks display in the area at 8:30 p.m.
