A Towanda man has been sentenced to years in state prison for delivering meth.
According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 31-year-old Ryan James Allis was sentenced to a minimum of 20 months to a maximum of seven years following his conviction for possession with intent to deliver 8.4 grams of meth.
The charges stem from a 2022 Bradford County Drug Task Force investigation into the sale of illegal substances in the county.
During the prosecution of this case, Allis was already incarcerated in a state prison on other charges.
Allis had a significant criminal history, including thefts, assaults, burglary, other drug offenses and a 2018 conviction for accidents resulting in death or personal injury.
According to the DA’s office, his criminal history and the amount of meth involved made the lengthy prison sentence appropriate.
