A Bradford County man is facing several felony charges following a police chase that crossed state lines on Thursday.
According to the Sayre Borough Police Department, 42-year-old Wysox resident Chase P. Argot was charged with one count of felony fleeing or eluding police, four counts of felony aggravated assault and two counts of firearms not to be carried without a license.
He was also charged with DUI and recklessly endangering another person.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office initiated the pursuit after Argot allegedly brandished a handgun at a business in Tioga County.
Sayre Police attempted a traffic stop on North Thomas Avenue in Sayre, but Argot refused to stop and led police on a chase that crossed back into New York.
Argot is accused of attempting to hit a Sayre Police car during the pursuit.
The suspect stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of the Waverly Barton Fire District when it began smoking.
Police said he exited the car with a loaded handgun and ignored police commands. A New York State Trooper utilized a taser and Argot was taken into custody.
He was remanded to the Bradford County Jail on $250,000 bail.
