Corning Inc. awards $1.8 million grant to Corning schools to help with budget

Corning Incorporated has awarded a $1.8 million dollar grant to the Corning-Painted Post School District in support of its 2025-26 budget.

Corning school district residents voted down the original school budget proposal, which included a 7.89 percent tax increase, on Tuesday, May 20th.

The school district said that with the grant, the new budget proposal is below the tax cap. Look for complete details on corningareaschools.com.

A budget hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 10th with a budget vote on Tuesday, June 17th.
