The Corning-Painted Post Airport is receiving federal funding for runway improvements.
According to Congressman Nick Langworthy, the local airport will get over $731,000 through an FAA Grant awarded to the Town of Erwin Industrial Development Agency.
The money will go towards fixing over 3,200 feet of existing paved runway at the airport.
