Very early Monday morning, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Walmart in the Town of Cortlandville, after Walmart employees received threats from a telephone caller. The employees reported that the caller threatened that he would shoot all the occupants of the store. Cortland County Sheriff’s Investigators, with the assistance of the Dryden Police Department located the suspect at his residence in the Village of Dryden. 32-year-old Veasna Pedersen was charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, which is a felony, as well as misdemeanor Aggravated Harassment. No weapons were found as a result of the police investigation. Pedersen was remanded to the Cortland County Jail without bail.
