A Bath man is behind bars after he allegedly raped a 13-year-old child in Steuben County.
According to the New York State Police, 26-year-old Zachary T. Preston has been charged with rape in the second degree.
The charges stem from an investigation that began in September after police received a report of a rape involving a 13-year-old girl.
Preston was arrested on Wednesday in Bath. He was originally sent to the Steuben County Jail, but has since been released.
