A Bath woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly locking a dog in a crate, moving and leaving it to die.
According to Bath Police, 30-year-old Kassidy Hall has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a Class E felony.
Bath Police responded to an apartment on Howell Street last Wednesday for a report of a deceased dog inside. Officers found a dead pit bull mix locked inside a crate when they entered the apartment.
An investigation allegedly revealed that the dog had been locked in the crate for weeks without food or water.
Police said Hall moved out of the apartment and left the dog to die.
Hall was arrested on Friday and released on an appearance ticket. She will appear in Bath Village Court at a later date.
