The cause of a recent fire in Southport has been determined.
According to the Southport Fire Department, the cause of the fire on Southport Ave. on Wednesday, Feb. 18 was smoking a cigarette while hooked up to an oxygen tank.
Two people were injured and taken to a local hospital as a result of the fire.
