Chemung County Sheriff’s Office to hold Drug Take Back Day this weekend

s The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office will participate in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back initiative this weekend.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25^th at the Southport Volunteer Fire Department and the West Elmira Fire Department.

Chemung County residents are encouraged to bring their expired and unused prescription medications to those locations for proper disposal.

All medications, ointments, sprays and sharps will be accepted.
