The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office will participate in a national Drug Take Back Day next month.
The collection will take place at the West Elmira Volunteer Fire Department and Southport Volunteer Fire Department from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25.
Chemung County residents are encouraged to bring their expired and unused prescription medications to those locations for proper disposal.
All medications, ointments, sprays and sharps will be accepted. Residents should keep the drugs in their original containers with labels intact.
