A Big Flats woman was fatally injured while walking her dog on Suburban Drive on Monday morning. 48-year-old Barbara Velasquez and her dog were struck by a Ford dump truck owned by the Premier Landscaping Company of Elmira. The unoccupied truck began rolling backward downhill and struck the victims. An investigation into the exact cause of the accident is continuing.
