A Corning man will spend at least 25 years in prison on child porn charges.

According to the US Attorney’s Office, 33-year-old Ryan M. Newman pleaded guilty to the production of child porn.

Since he was already a convicted sex offender at the time of the new crimes, Newman will spend a minimum of 25 years to a maximum of 50 years in state prison. His sentence could potentially include a $250,000 fine.

Members of the Corning Police Department and FBI arrested Newman in April of last year after he allegedly produced child porn and sent it to an undercover agent.

Newman is scheduled to be officially sentenced on June 11.
