Elmira Police arrest Binghamton residents on drug charges

The Elmira Police Department has announced the arrests of two Binghamton residents on drug charges.

According to police, 30-year-old Korey M. Beck has been charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, and Angel N. Feringa is facing a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Elmira Police Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Park Place and West Clinton Street at around 10:15 pm on Wednesday. It was discovered that Beck was on New York State Parole out of Broome County and was out past curfew. Feringa was the passenger in the car.

Police searched the vehicle and found a large quantity of Oxycodone pills, several strips of Suboxone, a digital scale, 5 ounces of meth and money in the vehicle.

Beck is awaiting arraignment in Chemung County, and Feringa was released on an appearance ticket.
