An Elmira man is in the Chemung County Jail, accused of stealing items from a woman in Corning and selling them to a pawn shop in Elmira.
According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, 62-year-old Terence R. Vang also forged a check belonging to the victim and cashed it at a bank in Southport.
Vang was charged with the felonies of grand larceny, criminal possession of a forged instrument, and possession of stolen property. Vang also had an active Superior Court Warrant out of the City of Elmira.
He will be arraigned in the Town of Southport and City of Elmira courts at a later date.
